Event Crowd

Well November 09 was a mix of projects - following on from a busy October. It kicked off with designs for an experiential project for Helix 3D - a free-standing over-scaled syringe!
In that same week followed a site meeting with Brainstorm for an exhibition project management brief at Olympia. That is still a work in progress - with a final set of stand designs being produced by me to help their in-house graphics team get a better grip on moving the project forward.

Throughout November I have been working on 'top secret' experiential installation in central London - providing my client with designs and layouts for a massive space that is to be transformed in January 10 into an exciting experience for the public.. Will update after launch!

The range of designs and visuals I have completed this month have been, like the one above huge, down to micro-detailing for smaller events. A lectern design - see here - absorbed some of my time - for which I provided design, CAD elevations and lit renders.

Another ongoing project is the designs and site plans that I have been producing for a new temporary structure venue in London for an events management company. For this I have been creating the structures in 3D to help develop planning, publicity and sales activity - creating a 'virtual venue' for the team to sell. Again - more images once the event goes 'public'.

In the last week I have created 'clay model' layouts of venues for another client - to show gallery venue space usage and layouts - and a set of exhibition designs for a new client based in the north-east for a pitch for a project in the far east!

Looking forward into December I still sense nervousness out there - talking with a range of events, exhibition & experiential people - via twitter (@MikeBell3D) - and other networking sites there is a sense that things still havent quite rebalanced from a year ago.

I continue to develop my skills and what I can offer both new and exiting clients - helping them to win pitches without burning pounds - whilst still maintaining a fair payment for the services and experince I offer such people.
