Hi, Thanks for your reply. If you are in London often we can meet up to discuss. I work at Earls Court, so easily accessible to most of city. Do you have a particular reason for your interest in this topic?

I'm alive and very, very well--sitting in a hotel room in Orlando after a very long day at ACC. I'll have to check your profile and see what it is that you are doing. Hope all is well.

hi - I'm sure everyone asks about doing events with you however wondered if there was a genuine opportunity for the future. We are www.livepromotions.co.uk automotive events mostly although we also work with pubilshers, federations and Stoneleigh Park.

Hi Kent,
Earls Court is easy for me. I'm in the area on Weds 22nd a.m. if that works for you.
I'm interested because we are a cottage industry. I see some smes take time to develop skills but very few really focus on process. You need a balance of both. There are very simple processes which can allow managers/leaders to manage/lead in an efficient way which leaves time for more strategic/tactical thinking without compromising on day to day effectiveness.
Here's something I see a lot; when things are really busy and going well most staff don't get any managment input (usually because the managers are hands on with winning/producing work too) even if the staff need help/guidance. Suddenly things go quiet and management are all over them like a rash. This inconsistency creates problems and often demotivates staff.

There isn't a 'one size fits all' answer but there are a number of things that can be done and finding creative/practical sollutions facinates me. Typically the sollutions are full of common sense and easy to implement and embed.

What do you think? I've got a head full of related ideas.

Look forward to meeting with you soon.

Best regards,

Paddy Power,
UCD Marketing
