Event Management - The importance of practical experience for graduate students

Hello,

My name is Rupert Osborne, I am a 4^th year events management student from the University of Gloucestershire. We are currently undertaking a module about the contemporary issues within events management. For our assignment we have been invited to address a convention of event management professionals and tasked with identifying a future growth area for the industry.

My group have chosen to talk about the issues in the levels of theory taught on event management courses/degrees against the lack of practical experience offered.
