Event Description

Following on from the success of the AEO Marketing Forum in May, Association of Event Organisers (AEO) is delighted to announce the second edition of the AEO Ops Forum taking place on 15 September 2009 at the Business Design Centre, London and will be chaired by Christopher Newton, Chairman of Montgomery Worldwide.

The 2009 schedule will feature a broad spectrum of content that will inform and educate ops and event personnel working at UK organisers, venues and contractors. This year’s programme on the secrets behind successful event operations includes:

· Now what? Pandemics to suspicious packages.
· Health and Safety - How the hell did they get approval for that?
· Building customer experiences - It's not a show; it's theatre, darling!
· Industry regulation - If you're not on the list, you're not coming in.
· Organisers, venues and contractors go head-to-head in a panel session on mains tariffs.
· The electrical testing revolution - BS7671 has changed; big time.

Austen Hawkins, AEO Interim Director, said: “We will be talking about some of the most dramatic changes occurring within the events industry and I’m especially looking forward to hearing about BS7671. Its impact on electrical testing has been examined over the past 18 months by a panel of AEV and ESSA experts and their findings will cause a sea change in UK event operations.”

AEO Ops Forum Chair, Christopher Newton said, “I am delighted with the programme for this year’s Ops Forum. We have cut through the dryness with which these topics are sometimes tackled and will deliver an interesting, engaging and valuable look at the biggest issues facing our industry. There will be some key issues addressed on 15 September and those involved in any way with the operations process really should be at the BDC.”

Available to AEO, AEV and ESSA members, at a special 'recession rate' of only £95 (excl. VAT), this year’s AEO Ops Forum offers better value than ever before. Non-members are also invited to attend the event at a price of £395 (excl. VAT). For more information and to book today please go to www.aeoforums.org.uk/ops.

This is the second in our 2009 series of Forums kindly sponsored by ASP and Interchange Communications.
